Does anyone have similar experiences?
I have a dog from the animal shelter who is between 9 and 12 years old.
Lately, I've noticed that he's been more affectionate than usual. He wants to be petted, jumps up, and runs around the room. He's also panting heavily.
only sleeps when I sit next to him.
When walking the dog, he runs very close to things or even into them.
He drinks a lot, but on some days he hardly eats anything.
Has anyone had similar experiences and can help me?
I have an appointment with our vet next week but today I notice it even more!
Thanks
These are signs that your dog is getting old. Old dogs become more persuasive, perhaps letting your dog’s vision go and he’s running against objects. He could also have problems with the kidney and therefore drink a lot. You better wait for the vet appointment.
Thanks for the quick feedback
I’d be a vet. It sounds like the dog’s vision is impaired. Much drinking and little appetite can indicate pain. This would also suit the increased attachment. Or just a disease like diabetes etc.
We also have ours out of animal welfare(11 years) and we also notice how it becomes ever more pending, the veterinarian has said that she couldn’t stand anything and it seems to be, because of the age she gets older.
would interest me what the veterinarian says 🙂
I’ll let you know after appointment.
Thanks for the quick feedback
