Do you have herb beds? How do you label the plants?
Good morning,
Are there any herbal witches or wizards here? I'm looking for long-term correspondence partners for herbal knowledge and its presentation. Years ago, I saw and smelled a beautifully landscaped and fragrant herb garden in Weinheim. It had been somewhat neglected because the lady who cared for it was ill. I offered my gardening help and wanted to publish what I'd learned online. Unfortunately, the lady was vehemently against it; she wanted people to come into the garden. I'm happy to help, but according to her rules.
In the meantime, I've created a wild bee-friendly garden with nectar and pollen dispensers and nesting aids on clayey, hard-to-work soil in the Rhineland lowlands. I've started planting native herbs in pots to enjoy their beauty. To see what they look like, how big they grow if they aren't pulled out or mowed down.
I want to print and attach business cards for each plant. Brief information about its medicinal properties and its use as food.
Question: How/on what material can I print business cards with the color laser so that they will withstand the weather for a few years? 240g coated cardboard didn't survive the winter.
Question: How do you publish the additional knowledge you gained during your research? Websites?
I don't have enough space for a public herb garden because I also want to harvest berries and fruit, potatoes, etc. Raised beds are probably out of the question; they take up a lot of time to set up and dry out too quickly, like my compost heap in the summer.
I think you have a bigger project in planning. You can also contact a local fruit and gardening association. These also offer various courses and in turn know other people. Our OGV offers a herbal migration twice a year, for example, in addition to many other actions. I have very little opportunity to develop myself and also on my private ground. However, I am doing my best and in our OGV I am already on board soon. We also have jmd that can analyze soil samples. I hope I could help you with this 🤗
We have shields on our stray meadow, these were made of wood, the inscription engraved, painted and all covered with weatherproof lacquer. That’s really long.
Good idea, thanks. I thought you should have a plot.
No, the interest in this is enough. Fill out a member’s request, pay a small obolus and invest until free time. But it is worth it all
I definitely don’t understand – but so spontaneously when reading, I imagine in such a garden wooden signs with burnt font
I like visually well, but quite complex.
To mark, I would resort to laminated paper. But how about a larger table for the information and the plants in each case only small?
It’s their choice, not yours.
Question 1: Normal paper and investing in a laminating device. Costs about 12 euros.
Question 2: Not because you can find everything online and nobody interested in it anyway.
And to the original main question: not at all. I know what plant is and I don’t have to write it.
Is the result waterproof, moisture resistant? My waterproof paint has not protected the cardboard against moisture,
That’s why you should use it.
For me are the vocabulary I want to learn. Search for tools.
Thanks, I haven’t laminated yet.
Don’t act like that.
You cut the boxes for lamination. Then place it at a distance into the foil and then cuts the foil into pieces so that there is still a sealed can. You don’t need a university degree to get this idea.
Okay, I’m printing an A4 page, laminating it and cutting out the business cards or A6 cards. Then the cardboard is not water-protected at the cutting edge. How are you doing?
