Yes, many years ago, a whole four minutes.

And I didn’t get him for that. It was in the middle of a felt snowstorm at a small station in the Pampa. Somewhere in nowhere. No business, nothing. I stood there for over an hour and waited for the next train. For some time, I was really thinking of looking for dead wood and making a fire so I wouldn’t freeze.

I’ve rarely seen it.

The most common cause is probably because the signals are often green just minutes before the departure time: The driver simply had a wrong (e.g. old) schedule in his head or he didn’t look at a really walking watch. Or the driver simply didn’t think about watching the time. Then he just left after all got in and out.

For this purpose, it should be permitted at certain stations that the doors are closed half a minute before the scheduled departure time.

Never a second, I often drive.

Buses often leave before – usually not at the start station, but at the next. If the road conditions are good and there is little traffic, they drive through without looking at the clock and the longer they drive, the sooner they are at the respective stop.

No, just buses. But that happens fortunately only if I really have a hurry and then miss this bus because he doesn’t stick to the schedule. I don’t care if I need a connecting train to the airport.

One. 1 minute too soon. I would have caught him if he hadn’t gone too soon.

Yes, my wife once in Switzerland: 15 seconds too early. It has a voucher of 20 francs.

In Switzerland the doors are closed only after the pointer jump:
