Hashimoto and cold nodules?
Hello dear people.
I'm just writing posts here at the moment. I also suffer from anxiety and just want some reassurance, nothing more. Therefore, I'm asking for helpful answers and no stupid comments.
I have Hashimoto's… for two years now, and I have to go to radiology/nuclear medicine once a year for a check-up… up until now, everything was fine… but in February of this year, not only an ultrasound was done, but also a sinus scan. The report states that nodules were discovered. Probably small regenerating nodules, not cold nodules.
Follow-up of the nodes initially after 6 months…
So, I was there today and they haven't grown. He said that they're not cancerous at the moment… which means that it could develop at the moment, even though they say the lumps are caused by Hashimoto's… and why is there only a follow-up check after a year and not half a year, according to the doctor… if it does grow, what then? I don't understand why it's only after a year… I'm really asking for someone who knows a bit about this and can take away some of my fears. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. Have a nice weekend, everyone. Kind regards, Maike
P.S. I've had a lymph node for some time now… but it's benign, 1.3 cm, and doctors said it definitely shouldn't be removed.
Hi.
Thus cold nodes could be excluded as far as possible by the very precise diagnosis. That’s a very good news.
If the doctor considers an annual control to be appropriate, that means that things are so small that it is not to be expected from an explosive growth within half a year. The annual control is usually completely sufficient.
You got a very good result. Nice to meet you!
If you also have a good grip on your Hashimoto, you have done everything right with your diet and the medication is well adjusted.
I know a lot of people with Hashimoto, whose thyroid gland is a single mountain and valley path despite medication. They’d long for “normality.”
Don’t worry. You seem to be in very good medical treatment and your illness is banned.
The “still” has not been a clumsy statement by the doctor. You can have cold knots for decades without anything happening. Often they are just “random findings”. Cyst formation in the tissue is also quite normal. You’ve got it everywhere.
And no operation is necessary. The collateral damage will be higher than the benefit. Therefore, an operation of the thyroid gland is only necessary in “emergency cases”.
What do I have knots?? What are these then for which because it was not called cold probably and now they have not grown. What are these for which exactly?
You’re welcome.
Of course I can’t say that. But there will be some kind of cysts or similar. Like I said. Cysts are mostly secondary findings. They can also be 99 years old.
I don’t know the term. There are nodes that re-form themselves. That’s what I mean. It’s also a good news.
SO and now don’t worry too much anymore. You now have 1 year to leave the crest aside. Do something beautiful and do not work with diseases.
What are regenerators knots .. tissue that rebuilds or ?? Because that was my pre-report
