Rabbits keep dying?

Hi

following problem:

About 3 years ago my little brother got two rabbits, a white one and a black and white one (the black and white one will be important later).
One died about two months after the two escaped (he probably ate something wrong).

Well… we built our hutch to be completely escape-proof and got a new rabbit. The rabbit actually lived until recently and then died out of nowhere. The black and white rabbit had chased him often, and he definitely didn't eat anything wrong, since he always gets the same thing and fresh hay, cucumbers, and carrot peels every day.

So, about three weeks ago, we got a new rabbit, who was about five months old. She was very trusting and would let us pet her on our lap for hours. The two got along very well from the start. But today, she was found dead in the cage.

I don't understand what's going on, and my brother is (understandably) devastated by Biden. My dad and I don't know if it would be wise to buy another rabbit.

I have the feeling that the black and white guy who is still alive is a complete psycho.

I would be very happy to receive helpful answers.

Because I would hate to do the same thing to another rabbit as I did to the last three.

Best regards and have a nice Sunday,

Fabi😃✌️

I see little runout + hay/gray mix as very critical.

Rabbits are dying of stomach problems quite quickly. When your dry hay feeds and then the much too watery cucumber, the rabbits get 100% stomach pain.

Your brother should therefore expand the outlet (even at night at least 6sqm of floor space for 2 rabbits!) and inform themselves about food suitable for the species, e.g. on kaninchenwiese.de

It’s just as useful that you let the cot examine for coccidia. They sooner or later lead to death and also survive on the objects you have in the enclosure. Then the new rabbits would always infect themselves immediately.

Hello, if the last two have understood well then I don’t think the black white is the problem. It can be just coincidence, but if it’s on the black white I wouldn’t get another one. You should always keep rabbits at least 2 but there are exceptions for example as in this case if a rabbit simply does not understand each other. Perhaps the bond to the first partner of the black white rabbit would be so strong that he no longer accepts any other.

Hmm remote diagnostics are always only advised,

– false socialization = stress = reduced immune system. Constellation must be correct and rabbits can only be merged on neutral soil otherwise the new one is an intruder in the precinct

– false attitude? Maybe not weatherproof enough? False materials used (toxic?) A rabbit in the middle of winter just set outside? Or the rabbits dragged back and forth from inside out and vice versa?

– You’re wrong? 3 sticks implies that this might be the case, the area should be on a piece and not distributed on small floors of probably 1,20-1,60 m?

Wrong feeding? Because what counts is not a full diet.

Hello

Rabbits are not allowed to be kept alone.

If you buy ZWEI new rabbits please consider this.

Unfortunately, a stable is not art-friendly at all. Rabbits need at least 6 square meters.

You can get new rabbits but please note these things.

Why don’t you explain the attitude, I’m sure they’re not just getting hot, cucumber and carrot shells? How big is the cradle? Have you always given the rabbit a normal amount of a feed unknown to him (Gurke zb)

And there might be a mistake, canns have a stuff and must have DAUERHAFT something to eat. The dry food is also poisonous for the rabbits

Please be on Rabbit meadow.de

wrong attitude, stroke for hours is stress for the animals. You probably have not sufficiently informed about the walking size, at least 3 square meters per animal would be the minimum dimensions and not a 3 stick cage. To one-sided diet, perhaps also with inadequate food, to observe too little attention, so as to identify health problems.

Take the dead rabbit to the vet and let him examine.
