Hard drive NTFS problem?
I want to format my hard drive to NTFS, but I accidentally configured my Xbox for this console (only available on Xbox consoles) and I don't know how to undo it because the hard drive isn't showing up on my laptop. Can anyone help me?
Windows button + x press and open disk management as the disk appears. You can format them as a simple volume to NTFS. I did the days too.
That’s it. Small supplement – I’m in writing.
The irritation of the fringe should therefore come that it cannot differentiate the fine differences between “data carrier”, “partition” and “drive (volume)”. No offense – that do quite few lay people. 😉
A data carrier, e.g. a hard drive or SSD, you cannot format but only a drive that is within one or more partitions.
A disk is not shown in the Explorer (file manager).
There you only find drives. Therefore, the “hard disk” in the Explorer is not “founded”.
You can find disks on Windows exclusively in the disk management – therefore also the name. 😉
(In the case of diskettes and optical media (CD…) the name is e.g. T. completely opposite and can therefore confuse – but I’ll save it at this point.)
Even at university, they didn’t teach us the difference. Thanks for your supplement. 😁
