Hard drive adapter problems?

Hello, I'm currently trying to get my grandma's data back and I found this old hard drive adapter.

My question is whether I can somehow operate it without the power cable (which I can't find). In trying to do that, I created this monster…

However, it didn't work as expected. I hope someone knows how to fix it.

Get a universal adapter for 27 EUR: https://www.amazon.de/FIDECO hard disk converter drives/dp/B0919SF9CP

In addition, you have connected the IDE cable where you want hard drive.

If this is an IDE board, you can also connect it directly to the PC with the wide grey data cable and a 4-pole trapezoidal power plug (Molex).

If you somehow try to adapt the built-in hard drive with the thing to USB, this will not go without power even if you supply the disk with electricity…

You need at least 12 volts. I can’t do it without that.
