Broken cell phone display?
Hey,
For the past few days, I've been seeing horizontal, black lines on my phone every now and then. They didn't bother me much, but for the past few hours, I've had permanent orange lines across the entire display. They're not regular lines, but rather larger and smaller ones. It looks like a checkered pattern in places. It's not a crack in the display itself, but rather "in" the display, if you understand.
ps: I don't want to know how stupid my question is, but please only sensible answers.
many thanks in advance
The display is defective.
You probably fell down sometime or the cell phone was exposed to great vibration.
The strips are formed by a defect being present at the edge of the display. This usually happens only at Oled Displays (then I guess you have an iphone which is newer than iphone 11)
I’m sure you can’t fix this as a laie.
Either you bring it to a repair shop or you exchange the display yourself. Most repair shops can also not repair the display, but they only exchange it through a new one.
You can possibly possible still try to heat the display easily with a lighter briefly at the defective location. The CAN eliminate the problem in the short or long term, but it does not have to. Of course, this repair attempt can also cause even more damage.

Thank you for the answer. It works now without doing anything.
