Hamster wasn't outside at night?
Normally my hamster is outside around 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. waiting for her food. Then I give it to her and she looks for it in the hay, plays with it for a while and then goes back downstairs. As far as I can tell she probably goes out again at around 3-4 a.m. when I'm already asleep. Last night I accidentally forgot to give her something at 8:30 p.m. I only remembered it at 10-11 p.m. but of course she wasn't waiting anymore. This morning I saw that the sand was unused and the fresh food was untouched in the bowl and now I'm worried. I'm not sure if that can happen sometimes? Do you know of any behavior like that, is it normal?
This may happen, but there are rarely healthy hamsters.
You know where he usually sleeps? Then be quiet, quick and listen to if you hear him.
How old is he?
She sleeps at the bottom. The scatter is 35-40cm high and there she sleeps on the floor but where exactly I don’t know. So the care center meant that she would be 5 months old so now she would have to be 1 year old
Hm… I’d wait till night. If she doesn’t get out, don’t get late, go find her. I’ve done that, too, in such cases it’s okay.
Okay, that’s good. Then I wouldn’t look for her. Maybe you can make sure you see her, that’s good.
With wet food I mean gurke and carrot and a little salad. That loves her, so I tried that if she goes on
So I just saw she ate something. So you wet food. She had eaten a part yesterday and this morning the whole bowl was empty that she was at least 2 times outside
Take a look at how she’s running, what to give and let back in as soon as everything is good. I’d just be a vet if something’s weird.
Okay, thanks. How do I react when my hamster is awake or he’s down after I’ve removed his half stray? Do you want me to just put them in the transport box and fix the cage again and put them back in as if never happened or do I have to examine them on something or with her to the veterinarian?
Just be careful. Take out heavy objects, then slowly take out discard and keep them naturally. One time disturbing/waking is not so bad and if you are careful, nothing will happen to her.
Unfortunately not 😅 what if she is awake (below) and I then throw away the scatter, does she get that?
Do you know where she could be? Then start there. If she doesn’t get out, you don’t have another choice.
So my problem is, if you want me to find her, how am I supposed to do that? It lies on the ground and the litter is 40 cm high on the other half even 60 cm
I don’t know, but just do enough to eat in and plenty of water, then he can always eat when he likes it.
