Hamster squeaking all the time?
Three days ago, I got a teddy hamster (a golden hamster) and a new cage with all the accessories and everything (the pet store recommended it). Now I've noticed that he's been squeaking and feverishly doing this all the time. He also twitches sometimes. It's a bit like he's sneezing (it only sounds like that). He also sometimes goes into a corner and does this. Is he scared, or why is he doing this?
Had Hamster too and couldn’t get enough of him at the first. Very to the suffering of the hamster, who was so confiscated. I thought he had to get used to the new environment and, above all, to me.
And so was it. All week only sometimes water and feed after filled and otherwise covered with translucent cloth.
After rest, he slowly became accustomed to me and was able to lift up occasionally. Then crawled around on my hand until there were signs to let him down again at his usual station.
Violently, you should never take them into your hands if they don’t want them from themselves, they don’t like that. Increases their stress and also significantly shortens their service life.
That’s what I say to you 100% thank you!! 🙏
Not only in a week!
Hamsters from zoo shops are sick in 99% of cases and have parasites. So also collect Kot and send a fill sample.
100x100x100cm? Sure? That would be a cube with 1m side length. And then he would have to be made of grids, which would be dangerous anyway.
100cm height are absolutely unnecessary, and more dangerous than useful.
Snakes and twitches can be signs that a hamster is stressed. It could also be that he is sick or has pain. To be sure, you should have your hamster examined by a veterinarian to eliminate possible health problems.
To help your hamster feel comfortable and relax, I recommend giving him enough time and space for movement and employment. Make sure that he always has access to clean food and water, and also regularly offer fresh vegetables and fruit as a snack. Avoid disturbing him too long or too often, and slowly get used to your presence by giving him a treat and gently stroke him. In this way he can learn that you don’t want anything evil to him and that he can feel safe in your presence.
So it is done, Thank you 🙂
if he’s out of the zoo, he’ll be sick and the cage is inappropriate anyway. Whether a hamster-friendly facility is available may also be doubted.
