Hamster completely freaks out?

Hello, my hamster's cage was rearranged today, and he has new items in it. Among other things, he got a house, which sits on top of his old sleeping area (this will be the new one).

Now he's completely freaking out (which is understandable, since his home is suddenly different). He runs on his wheel the whole time, even when he has no energy left. I took the wheel out for a bit so he could explore the cage. Get all over the cage. And when I put the wheel back in, he went right back in. Normally, he'd just sit there quietly, then run a few laps, and so on.

Is this normal? Will he get used to it, or what do you think?

Cage in the sense of cage? If so please change. Otherwise, you should not change everything from now on. That's what leads to the reaction you see now. Will probably calm down during the next few days, but please don't. Imagine how you feel when you come to your apartment or house and it's completely different from the inside. Everyone would be just as confused.
