Hello, my father booked a ticket without knowing that he had to be vaccinated?

Hello, I am the son of an anti-vaccine activist. He doesn't want to be vaccinated and so on. Let me start with my question. My father booked a ticket that my mother and I didn't need a vaccine to use. And because my father has later holidays than my mother and I, he booked one on a different airline. It then said that you needed a vaccine because of airline regulations, but it wasn't stated anywhere beforehand, and now I'm wondering what my father should do? He can't cancel the booking; the airline won't let him, and he paid over 1500 CHF for the ticket.

I hope Gutefrage can help me find the answer.

Depending on how long it lasts until the flight, I would advise him to get inoculated quickly, or he’s got bad luck. Who’s too stupid, he’s his own fault. And so I don’t mean to be properly informed and not to be inoculated

It would make life easier for everyone. In addition, he protects himself and others with what would be a very good decision for patients in the hospital

Bad luck. He should have read the little print. It was probably mentioned.

Unfortunately, vaccinations are still discriminated against. You should always inform yourself before you buy a ticket for something.

“Discriminated”

What’s that supposed to mean? If you’re too stupid to let yourself intrude, you have to live with it

Because the vaccination protects so much from infecting or passing on the virus?

They are not discriminated at all. They’re not allowed to hurt anyone.

Oh, good that vaccinations don’t put anyone in…

This is not discrimination

It doesn’t have to. A helmet or a seatbelt does not mean that you are immortal.

But this does not mean that vaccinated people can no longer be infected.

The probability of infection decreases considerably after vaccination due to the a little lower virus load.

Omikron is no longer the very great danger.

DummeStudentin

Maybe it was. In Omikron there are hardly any differences between vaccinated and unvaccinated.

In fact, she protects you and others relatively well.

That might have been the way in the beginning. In the meantime, the effectiveness is very low.

It also prevents new variants from being created.

The opposite is the case. Variants adapt to vaccination (see Omikron). That could be dangerous at some point.

And she has NULL negative effects

That’s not true at all. It may well come to severe to fatal side effects, even if these are very rare.

You’re transferring the virus much less, that’s it.

Drop or cancel flight. The airline or the country of entry will not change the rules for him. 🙄

This should be in the General Terms and Conditions.

Honestly, I don’t care. If your father has too much money and too little discernment, he’ll pay unprofitable money.
