An account expires either because the account holder redeems it by order or by posting it out if there was no revenue for years… but that is regulated in a bank-specific manner.

Extracts must be able to reproduce a bank for 10 years, which are not physically present. In the 11th year, the search documents are deleted.

You have to cancel the account yourself, otherwise it will not expire.

I mean, the Sparkasse must keep the records for at least 10 years.

Account statements should be at least: be available for six to eight years.

If I were you, I would direct this question to the savings bank. They know.
