Half-albino rabbit?

hey!

I recently read that there are no such things as half-albinos. This made me suspicious. My rabbit, Browine (about 7-9 months old, so not yet a year old), is white and brown but has red eyes.
ps: the bottom picture was last summer and the top one was yesterday ☺️
P.S. She's female and a lionhead rabbit. I don't keep her alone!

What do you think?

Hello,

There are rabbit breeds with colorfully bred eyes. For example, there are red eyes, red-blue eyes, blue eyes, brown eyes…

Not all red-eyed rabbits are Albinos. Some simply have weak pigmentation and the blood shimmers so that it acts red.

If a rabbit has a drawing, it can never be a full-albino, at most a half-albino. However, it can not be one, but you can be Albino. There are also rabbit breeds with red eyes, which have nothing to do with Albinos, for example. Some races are not called semi-albinos, but they are called semi-albinos.

In general, one would have to know the ancestors over at least two to three generations of your animals, as well as the gene codes to be able to give the statements.

Greetings:)

There are no albinos in rabbits (just as little as in guinea pigs and I know about 10000%). There are also multicolored animals (like yours) with pink eyes (so it is called). Similarly, pure white animals with red eyes are not necessarily Albinos or I just don’t think they’re in rabbits. But that’s what you can quickly find out through Googel;)

You don’t have a half-albino or a full-albino. Just a brown-white animal with pink-yes.
