Chicken meat=roosters?
Hello, I just watched a documentary about chickens. Almost all roosters are gassed or shredded immediately after hatching because their meat is of little use and, logically, they don't lay eggs.
Now to my question: At the meat counter, for example, you can find chicken fillet. Does this also come from a rooster, or is that a general term that means the meat can also come from a hen?
And would you be able to live with the roosters paying 4 cents more per egg or not?

These are different breeds – laying chickens (and their male relatives) rather use little meat, varieties with “broad breast” (grilled both sexes) lay few eggs for this.

However, the fate of laying hens and chickens is no less bad. The chicks have it at least quickly. The chickens and laying hens experience hell on earth. and where are the positive examples? or does the world consist only of laying hens and chickens for fattening from such batteries?
I personally do not see anything positive about using a chicken for meat or eggs. I only see different degrees of cruelty. The linked examples account for over 90% of the total.
