This is actually true (if known). The cow’s milk prevents the iron from the oat flakes from being properly absorbed because of the calcium. But it’s not bad anymore. You should only pay attention if you think “I’m eating oat flakes with milk for my iron value now”. This can be counteracted directly by eating/trincting vitamin C.

Yeah, the iron gets worse, but oats aren’t eaten for the iron.

Mostly lying Google I find you can eat what you want because the combination is not poisonous like zb fish and milk (whether I don’t know that)

but oatmeal with milk and yogurt? I see no problem

The absorption of iron is inhibited. I call that a good reason not to enjoy oat flakes with milk.

The calcium in the milk or yogurt inhibits the absorption of iron present in oat flakes.

If you take enough iron with the food, that’s not a problem.

For over 40 years I have been eating yogurt with oat flakes with nuts, seeds and seeds.
