Have you ever canceled a tournament because of too much heat?
There's a tournament in our village. I was there briefly by bike. It was 31 degrees Celsius. The horses had to be ridden in the blazing sun. The trailer areas were also in full sun. There was little shade. I wouldn't subject my horse to that. What do you think?
I myself have barely ridden tournaments, the couple of exams I have ridden would have either generally cool weather, or lay early enough in the morning to be bearable.
However, I get it in series that people mentioned tests do not ride due to weather conditions, or only one test on the day instead of several etc.
As an amateur, this can be done quite well, as professional or cadre riders of course less. Here, too, the decision should finally be made in such a way that the horse does not suffer damage.
Sometimes, in the case of announced heat or thunderstorm tests, one hour will be advanced, pushed in parallel etc.
I thought it was hot and sunny. I’ve hurt the animals. But I was told that some were canceled. I wanted to know. Asked. No shade and no water drowns and also no way to cool the animals I have seen.
But as a tournament rider, you are actually prepared and have buckets / canisters with it.
I haven’t seen anything. This is a field with us in the village.
Come on.
Depending on the route, transport is already difficult.
So if you think it’s too hot to retrieve your good performance with your horse, consider whether you or your horse are able to keep a clear head at all, or that you don’t find it acceptable to exist a test situation on this heat “fail-free”.
So I would advise you to discuss the appointment again with the test participants/ with the examination supervisor, and possibly to postpone him for a few days, or to have the exam checked in the hall.
I don’t think so. That’s just a statement. It was a survey.
Okay.
A tournament will take place with or without you, but it will certainly not be transferred to another day
Oh sooo, tournament! I thought riding. So at the tournament, of course, it is that you either appear, or not, it takes place with or without you.
Depends on the test.
Come on.
I already played tennis tournaments at 40 degrees.
What you’re doing okay is an animal that can’t decide.
the right setting.
