Do you have depression?

Do you have or have you had depression?

The following with me

So I f/15 think that I have depression

Because I was already little and hated my family (and still hated it) because part of my family had abortions.

And when I was still very small (my father's family), my father also died when I was only 1-3 years old. And now I have a stepfather, and I've always felt like shit because of him, and I would have liked to have met my real father.

Do you know if I have depression? Many tests on test you think that I have depression

Such a self-esteem helps quite little. Here’s a number:

Info telephone of German depression aid: available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 13 am to 5 pm, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm(800) 33 44 533. Deutsche Depressionhilfe also offers a self-test and information and addresses on the subject of depression.

A difficult childhood doesn’t matter if someone has a depression.

It is crucial whether you comply with the WHO diagnostic criteria with your current complaints. There the symptoms, duration and other criteria are listed. On the basis of this, a doctor or psychotherapist sets the diagnosis. If you have serious suspicion that you could have a depression or other (psychic) disease, you need to contact your pediatrician or psychotherapist.

No one can diagnose you with depression here in a lay forum. It’s not possible. A diagnosis can only take place in personal contact and by a person skilled in the art.

Self-tests in this respect are unfortunately not meaningful. With each one that is not good at the moment, so test indicates that you may have a depression. Mostly a heavy one. What is completely unrealistic, because with a severe depression you would have been with a doctor and probably even in a clinic.

Why do you think you could have a depression? Aside from the test on the Internet.

Here you can find information about depression for young people:

Depression can be explained by a specialist. Not about good question, not about a test on the Internet.

If you suspect that you could be affected by this, I recommend that you visit a psychologist or psychiatrist. Everything else would be either very little meaningful or at a later point in time – should be turned out now that it would be so – even negligent.

Just because you have a heavy childhood, you have no depression. Please don’t tell any arbitrary claims

Self tests are not meaningful. Turn to a psychologist.

Yeah, I have depression since I was about 10. In between a little break, then it started worse.

If you have depression, no one can know about your information. For the first time, it takes several conversations with a therapist and secondly, you don’t say anything about what it looks like in you. You call your living conditions, but they are just a factor that can lead to depression, but defined not Causes one.

I just did the test. He’s ridiculous. A typical teani test written by someone who knows depression only from vague hearings, believes silly clichés and has no expressiveness. I said it wasn’t that great, but I wouldn’t have a depression. That I am hardly viable due to my recividing (recurring) depression with a heavy episode, obviously the test does not recognize.

I’ll give you a test and a feature sheet that is much more sensible from OFFICIAL pages.

The main features of depression (main symptoms) are:

  • pressed, depressive mood;
  • loss of interest and joylessness;
  • Drive shortage and fatigue.

The secondary symptoms of depression include:

  • reduced concentration and attention;
  • reduced self-esteem and self-confidence;
  • feelings of guilt and worthlessness;
  • excessive fears of the future or “black vision”;
  • suicidal thoughts or attempts, self-infringements;
  • sleep disorders (can still sleep, massive nightmares or constant fatigue despite sufficient sleep);
  • strongly reduced or enhanced appetite.

A depression is detected when …

  • at least two main and two secondary symptoms are present.
  • The complaints must stop for at least two weeks.
  • In the assessment, not only is the current state of mind important, but also the course of the last weeks.

The Beck-Test or the Beck-Depression-Inventory is a standardized questionnaire for the patient’s self-assessment and serves to determine the degree of severity of depression (click on the test link):

Many, however, certify themselves in a false way a depression, so talk to a doctor or psychologist about being affected.
