Do albino pet rats really have many disadvantages compared to other colored pet rats?
Hey,
I would be interested to know if albino pet rats really have so many disadvantages.
I've heard that they die faster than the others with color, just like the lab rates and behave differently than the others.
Could it be that albinos get used to you more quickly?
I got myself a mixed pack of albino and normal female fancy rats and they told me that the albinos are only food for the snakes, even if it's natural – snakes need food too – but if someone put it that way to me I'll take all the animals I can save. The albinos are all tame somehow – they climb all over me, go up to my hand on their own within the few days that I've had them and all sorts of things like that. The coloured fancy rats are still extremely shy and need more time to build up trust. That's why I asked whether albinos become tame more quickly than the others.
Color rats come from laboratory breeding just like Albinoratten. And to them all, the crab is cultivated.
