“Päckchen” have in fact all a consignment number, but no liability and therefore no shipment tracking. You’ll only get it on “packages”.

Only packages are insured with DHL and with shipment tracking.

https://www.dhl.de/de/privatecustomers/package-supplier/versand-bis-2kg.html

But the consignor has bad cards when he sends unsecured, and the packet comes off. He can’t even prove he’s delivered it….

Päckchen do not receive a consignment number and are therefore not traceable…

Insured they are not quite!!!

This comes from saving when shipping…

even letters get a consignment number, but this is not provided for tracking.

No, ‘Päckchen’ are not insured. And you can’t follow it. If you want to do this, you have to send it as a package. So this ‘Jemand’ is right.

Päckchen cannot be tracked. It’s only for packages.
