Am I afraid that the e-scooter will be stolen?

I ride my e-scooter to the gym six times a week, but I'm worried it'll get stolen. I have a lock for it, but like any other lock, it can be broken. What I was planning to do: Buy an AirTag and install it in the frame where it's invisible and impossible to get to without long needle-nose pliers. And if it gets stolen, can I report its location to the police? Or should I go and get it myself? I honestly don't know anything about that. I can't take my e-scooter to the gym. I always have to lure it into a bike rack outside.

I read little positive about Airtags. Inaccurate and especially very time-delayed position data, partly even not at all. According to this assessment, little useable.

I wouldn’t take an airday because I don’t think they’re reliable. I would buy another GPS tracker and do it as you said, best fit in the rams so it would really take some time to find/ remove it.
But if there should be a theft, in any case drag the police, best call at the next pole station but not choose the 110(except of course you still see him going away or similar).
