Today I saw a child at the outdoor pool whose mother was putting a swim diaper on her son.

And that’s… how… how to work?

A child of 10 years weighs… how much? 35 to 40 kilos?

It doesn’t fit swim diapers for babies/children.

So, if it was really a “worm diaper”, he got one that fits his weight/size.

This means that the diaper wasn’t “random” with it.

And if the child was 10 years old, the mother certainly didn’t attract him “self” the swimming diaper. At the age, a child can dress himself.

So I come to 4 ways:

• the story is not true
• “I forgot to pack the normal swimwear, take this as a replacement” was a lie
• the child is not physically able to control the excretion processes, so the swimming diaper does not need to contaminate the water
• “She dressed his diaper”: The child is not physically capable of attracting himself or cannot understand the process of dressing (physically or mentally disabled).

Edit: And if this 10-year-old boy has no physical or mental limitations, then the boy does not need any help in attracting such a thing.

As a mother, you would not reach into a “probably existing swimming diaper in a suitable size in the pocket” but tell the boy that he should go swimming in his underpants. Or you ask the bathmaster whether they have anything on stock (to buy / borrow).

I’m just wondering how stressed a mother must be to forget about bathing things during a planned swimming pool stay?
