ABER: The notion of the penile envy and the associated women-discriminating submissions can of course only be “understood” from the uninterrupted assumptions of a patriarchal culture – with the man as a measure of all things – (do not have to be confused with understanding!) which Freud, a “socialization product” and child of his time, took over and developed the psychoanalysis in the background.
