Each Mac with M-CPU is supported by both the current OS and the predecessor Ventura. The M1 devices came at the end of 2020 (Mac Mini, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro) or Spring 2021 (iMac) on the market.
The generation is M1 and M2 until August / September 2023. While the MacBook Pro M2 16″ was sold until October, the MacBook Air M1 and M2 as well as Mac mini M2 are still on offer. Therefore, they can have installed macOS 14 from the factory.

You can also buy one from 2014 or older or new and then update the one with the OpenCore Legacy Patcher on macOS Ventura, works amazingly super, I did this too.
