Guckt der Prof überhaupt über die Hausarbeit?
Hallo zusammen,
habe heute um 07:00 Uhr meine Hausarbeit bei meinem Prof abgegeben. Um 07:54 Uhr habe ich bereits eine Bewertung bekommen, die ich fast gar nicht nachvollziehen kann.
Habe meinen Freund, der aktuell an einer Uni promoviert und zig Hausarbeiten durchliest darum gebeten, meine mal Korrekturzulesen. Er meinte die wäre einwandfrei und würde unter normalen Umständen mit einer 1,0 bewertet. Habe eine Freundin (Deutschlehrerin) auch nochmal damit beauftragt, Formulierung etc. anzupassen und Rechtschreibfehler durchzugucken.
Was war das Ergebnis? Er hat mir eine 1,7 gegeben. Hat mir auf Grammatik/Rechtschreibung z.B. eine 2,0 gegeben (völliger Quatsch). Und der größte Witz: Er hat mir die Hausarbeit um 07:54 korrigiert zurückgegeben. Also 54 Minuten, nach dem ich es abgegeben habe. Da kann mir doch keiner sagen, dass der da ordentlich drübergeguckt hat?!
Hab noch nie einen solchen Prof erlebt, der es a) so schnell korrigiert und b) in seinem Gutachten auch noch schwammig formuliert wie „Argumentation hätte an einigen Stellen vertieft werden müssen“.
Ist sowas typisch? Sollte ich da vielleicht nochmal den Prof anschreiben mit Punkten, die mir nicht einleuchten?

That would also be new to me that a correction is made so short. There is your assumption that it is a superficial assessment, also justified. In your position, I would ask him to review/visit. If he doesn’t agree, you can still contact other levels (student representation, different. supervisory bodies, etc.) to inquire you there and possibly take further steps, it should be necessary.
But hopefully this is not necessary and you can clarify this in a personal meeting.

I hope that’s not typical, no. In your position, I would write an unexcited email in which you will explain which points you cannot understand, and accordingly ask for an answer or a conversation.
This is the right way. Your Prof must be able to explain why he has assessed how he did it, and is obliged to give you an appointment for a joint follow-up.
Students are the last one that a professor is interested in. This explains the quick return.
I sat in the pub with a Prof in Hamburg. it was 22.00. “Oh, I have to go now. I still have to see 5 bachelor’s papers by tomorrow.” What do you think he’s doing the correction?
