>Repeater with LAN?

Good Morning

I bought a Wi-Fi repeater with a LAN port. My PC (mainboard) doesn't support Wi-Fi, so I'd like to use LAN instead.

Is that possible?

Yes, I can!

If the WLAN repeater is wirelessly coupled to the WLAN router (Tip: goes with the WPS/Connect buttons on the router and repeater the easiest), then you can connect the LAN connection on the repeater to the LAN port of the PC. It'll work.

However, more than 40-50 MBit/s (net) you will not reach with this technologically outdated WiFi 4 repeater (N standard 300 MBit/s gross). WiFi 4 is already over 10 years old.

If you have bad luck, you can't even encrypt WPA3 (but only WPA2). Because here there is the encryption WPA3 via firmware update for this repeater:

Good luck!

Go ahead, only repeaters are the most miserable option to expand the WiFi network. Because WiFi hates WiFi.

They have to test out with the phone, far enough away from the router to not beat each other, but be close enough to get enough WiFi strength.

And a WiFi network card or a WiFi USB stick?
