How do I undo dual boot?

Let's assume someone wants to run Windows and Linux on one computer/hard drive as a dual boot, how would one reverse this? Would it be sufficient to properly format and delete a partition (or however large it occupies)? Or do they need to configure something else to prevent the boot menu from appearing?

What exactly do I have to look at in Safe Mode? I’ve never had any problems installing drivers, it must be the right thing.
There is always a first time, otherwise I would be unemployed;-)
If you can start the secure mode (can also need several approaches because of the practice thing), then the drivers can be completely removed and Windows can be found again.
