Grapefruit juice and medication?

Why is grapefruit/grapefruit juice not good when taking medication?

Why is this supposed to increase the effectiveness of the medication?

I don't notice any difference when I drink or eat grapefruit

This also does not apply to any medication!

Here you will find a list of medications and a reasoning.

It does not intensify, it inhibits degradation. It may also reduce the action of some substances.

Wikipedia explains it exactly.

net good together – studies show grapefruit juice increases the effect of some medicines and you feel worse despite medicine.

So I'd rather not be together.
