Grandma – broken arm – need help?
Grandma has broken her arm. PG1 was only introduced a few weeks ago. A woman came to see her twice a month. She has broken her arm since today and needs more help. What ideas do you have for getting additional help? Do you know of any places I can ask? Grandma is 85 years old and lives alone in an apartment. Her social circle is almost non-existent. We, the family, live 400 km away.
Transfer care after hospital stay with nursing degree 1
Persons with nursing degree 1 can only reimburse the costs of short-term care from nursing insurance via the entitlement to relief services (§ 45b SGB XI). However, the budget of 125 euros is only slightly more than 1 day per month for an inpatient short-term care, but an average short-term care day currently costs between 80 and 120 euros.
However, the legislator has recognized that there is a regulation or regulation. There is a gap in supply for those who are released from the hospital, but are not yet “rehabilitated” and do not have a social environment for domestic care. Therefore, since January 1, 2016 there has been so-called Hospital structure law a claim to health insurance according to § 37 para. 1a and 39c SGB V Transfer care – an extended household aid – but also specifically for short-term care. This is analogous to the regulations of care insurance, i.e. for a maximum of 4 weeks or more. EUR 1,774 per calendar year.

You should ask your health insurance/care fund.
there is the possibility to apply for short-term care or a budget support.
the household help is not there for help with the daily body hygiene.
