because the camera compresses the images more strongly to cope with the limited bandwidth of the memory card.
The battery is, of course, empty faster because the camera has to work more, requires more computing power and the sensor has to provide more information

There is probably the bit rate or compression different, but I can’t tell you, have no gopro
