Google blocks subnet or rate limit?
Google (Gmail) imposed a rate limit on an entire subnet. I suspect a server somewhere within it was hacked, but I couldn't detect any large volumes being sent. I suspect a shop where a spam bot was able to partially bypass the captcha and send out a few hundred emails. But that can't be a reason for a subnet ban.
The contact form regarding delisting says Google will take two weeks to process, so they can't be serious. Has anyone had this problem before?
Google will already have its reasons why certain IP areas were blocked by them.
there can be only one reason… spaming of several IPs from the subnet. Wasn’t the case, I just got a server that ran out a few hundred mails. Two weeks of reaction with a subnet lock are a bad joke.
You’re lucky you reacted within an hour or the lock has automatically dropped out. Absolute moment of shock.
