Good question: Grain ears too early, is that bad?

Hello, I can see in many winter rye fields how the ears are already emerging and are already out. With winter barley, you can only see the awns. I was wondering if there are any problems associated with this, since it doesn't actually start until the end of May or mid-May. What consequences could this have? Some people have had to mulch their rapeseed fields, for example, due to frost damage.

PS!!! Unfortunately I haven't been able to see any wheat yet, or rather I haven't seen a field of it, so I can't say what the ear formation looks like, just like with triticale.

Yes, climate change…

Nature is four weeks ahead this year. If the grain develops earlier, it’s not even bad. If there is a summer dryness, the ears are already well developed. Several wheat harvests are possible in climatically favourable areas in the year. Maybe this year we have luck with the weather.

It is difficult to say as a result of weathering in terms of dryness and heat
