Syrian hamster fell (is he injured)?

Hello,

My hamster fell out of my hand yesterday. I don't know exactly how it happened, but he stepped onto my hand and tried to run away, and then he fell. He was about a meter high. I was completely shocked, so I picked him up and put him straight back in his cage. He stood there for a moment and looked at me.

He then went into his hiding place and probably rested there. After a while, he ventured out again and started grooming himself and digging in his sand bath as usual. He also walked normally and immediately went back to checking on his food and hoarding. He also drank as usual.

I will continue to leave him alone and observe him, but the question still remains:

“Has my hamster suffered something?”

It happened to me then. My hamster dam has shattered in shock and I was also with the veterinarian (because I was still inexperienced). It was all right. As long as she keeps herself normal, everything is good. Watch the animal a little, even tomorrow, but I wouldn’t worry about your description.

A fall of more than 15 cm can be fatal for a Goldhamster. With a fall of 1 m, the probability is high that he has hurt himself a little. Since Hamster are prey animals, they do not show that they are injured. A gang to the vet would be appropriate.

And don’t take the hamster out of the enclosure anymore. These are observation animals that are not to touch. If you want to weigh him, take Hamstertaxi, but not the hand.

It is possible that he actually hurt himself, that unfortunately goes very quickly with Hamstern even 20 cm if he falls unfavorably. Let’s look at it for safety, animals tend not to show pain when it comes to ensuring, among other things, their survival, so I would rather go on number safe. If it’s good, nothing happened, but, as I said, you’d better go on number.
