Gmail 6-30 characters?
You can now use 6-30 characters for a Gmail address. Was Gmail also allowed 6-30 characters before? And is it possible that Gmail will use fewer characters in the future, for example, 6-20? Could I lose my account if it eventually becomes less, even though I had more characters?

Less characters (>6) will certainly not exist in the future. The maximum number of 30 is already possible, why should they reduce it. Don't make sense.
If it had been possible in the past, it must be valid. The restriction applies only to new names or to name changes.
