The fact is that space is expanding. Consequently, it must be a time when it originated. No one knows exactly how this has happened, but model calculations are quite close to the point.

This is not a simple logical conclusion! In principle, very different scenarios would be conceivable. However, in the past about a hundred years, a whole series of other (and practically compelling) astronomical and physical evidence has been found for what is called the “Standard Big Bang model” today.
The big bang theory is also virtually alternativeless in astrophysics, the microwave background radiation cannot be explained differently.
As long as there is nothing better and at least has the appearance of scientificity – yes!
