Giving guitar lessons at 17?
Hello :)),
I was thinking about maybe giving guitar lessons later on to earn some extra money. Besides, I have years of experience and haven't had guitar lessons in a long time (but I've improved in the years since, so I haven't given up).
Would it be possible to teach guitar to younger children, and where could I advertise this offer? What would be a fair wage?
Thank you in advance!
I can't doubt if you can do that "handcrafted", but what you're up to is "commercial" and then you have to be tax-cleaning, ie you have to make a tax return via the returns. Joerosac's advice is absolutely justified here.
The second is: if you want to teach children and take money for them, you need to negotiate with parents, and decide if you are also worth the required sum …
The idea is good, but it's a bit to consider. Good luck.
Greeting
Thank you.
Hello, I'm 18 now and I've been thinking about private guitar lessons again. Could you please explain to me how to register this class correctly or possibly send links? On the Internet I find a variety of opinions: Some simply do this lesson without any registration, others are of the opinion of having completed a study etc. I would really be grateful to you!
best regards
I know from my teacher at that time that he was an independent musician, and that's why he gave everything in his tax statement. But I don't want to give you any wrong advice, so I would do the following in your place:
1. Thoughts about the confidence, i.e. how many pupils want on which contractual basis you take
Two. Where and when do you teach? You have a classroom that might be extra to pay or undermine you with the student, then of course you have travel costs that you could count on.
3. Just calculate yield against effort and estimate what you say
With this, you should book a consultancy lesson with a tax advisor, which may cost you 100 or 150 euros depending on the effort, but is well-made money and prevents basic errors that can quickly become expensive.
We haven't spoken yet about your craftsmanship and didactic skills… but that doesn't matter here, at most insofar as you (eg parents) You have a good education and willing to pay for it.
Greetings and a lot of success.
Hello,
age doesn't matter, you have to start if you have something to do.
Question is what concept you follow and how good your students may be. I had individual lessons with a student from the Conservatory in Osnabrück. It was about developing heavy classical pieces. There were 40€/hours due.
However, you can also teach in a group, there is good money together when each gives 10€.
It is important that you have ideas about what you want to do with people, a didactic concept. People must have the impression that you've got it under control and learned it.
Good idea also to let them do sometimes, play something in the group and get applause.
Together what multi-part learning is also great.

Thank you!
If you can, it's good and beautiful, just should You first clarify this story with a tax advisor and do not work "black" at all, because that can be quite expensive. Or just call the tax office and the business office, maybe there's a certain amount of money and you don't need to register. But liability insurance is also part of it, not as easy as you would like.
Thank you, I didn't count on you.
