Should I stop taking Ginoring after one cycle? Or am I just too impatient?

Hello everyone,

I stopped taking the pill in the fall of 2021. Since then, I've had a really great natural cycle without any hormones. It was truly reliable, like clockwork.

Nevertheless, I didn't want to rely solely on condoms for long-term contraception, and the copper IUD is also out of the question for me.

I've had the Ginoring in me for five days now, and what can I say? I don't feel well at all. Aside from the spotting, which is supposed to be normal in the first few cycles, I have constant headaches and just don't feel well. I have no energy and feel like I'm sick. I'd like to get rid of the ring immediately.

Now the question is, is it harmful for my body to stop using the ring after one cycle? Or do you think I should give it a try?

It's perhaps also important to mention that I'm not currently dependent on contraception. I'm not in a committed relationship, and I don't have sex outside of a relationship. (I thought I'd take care of contraception now so that everything would be fine later in a relationship…)

Maybe one of you has experience and can give me some advice.

If you don’t need the hormones for prevention right now, I generally advise you to feed them to the body!

To the actual question: had such a ring, but had used it only for a cycle because I did not contract artificial hormones (werde depressive, driveless, tired, get flu-like symptoms). I had no problems after leaving.
