The Mac hardware is quite suitable for gaming, even better than many Windows devices. The graphics are very powerful. The problem is that there are many games, such as GTA 5, just not for Mac. There are too few Mac users who want to play so the effort for the developers is not worth matching the games for macOS.

Yes, there are gaming-suited hardware for Apple devices that allow to play programs such as GTA V to full power. There are powerful external graphics cards (eGPUs) that are compatible with Apple computers and can significantly improve graphics performance. You can also enjoy games with higher requirements on your Apple device.

Since Apple Silicon, Macs no longer support eGPUs. That wasn’t such a good idea anyway because you lost quite a lot of performance and because of the cable was limited. Apple chips have a much more powerful graphics than an eGPU could afford
