Is there a planning function for booking with DB? General questions?

Hello folks,
I would like to take a longer trip with a friend, but sometimes we have to stay for a while, so we don't take the train.

Example for understanding:

From Munich to Düsseldorf (stay in Düsseldorf of approx. 3 days)
Then from Düsseldorf to Berlin (stay in Berlin of approx. 7 days)
Then back from Berlin to Düsseldorf (stay in Düsseldorf of about 3 days)
Finally from Düsseldorf to Munich (—)

  • Do I now have to book a ticket (for ICE) for each of these short routes?
  • How do I make sure my girlfriend has her seat right next to me?
  • Is there a savings option if two people travel together?

Thank you very much if someone can give me suitable answers. 🙂
Greetings!

Stays of a few hours can be taken into account when booking, but not of several days, as long as a normal ticket is not valid.

In this case, bookings for four separate journeys would be necessary. If you book and book together, you will also get contiguous seats, but a discount for other people is no longer offered.

Yeah, you can, but it won’t be cheaper.

Yes you need to book separate tickets for each route. Tickets are valid only 1 day on long-distance traffic.

There is also no saving option for the 2nd person in the long term.

Seats can be set in the seat selection (one of the booking steps).
