There are people who have depression and/or other mental problems and favor these diseases to develop alcohol dependence (but of course it does not have to occur).

And there are people who have no depression or mental illnesses, become alcohol-dependent and thereby develop a depression.

And of course, there are people who are alcoholic and who have not had a depression beforehand, or who develop one through alcohol consumption.

That’s all possible. Only the probabilities are different.

A depression is not a prerequisite for a search, so there are also addicts without depression

Just as there are depressive people without addiction
