Is there a way for consumers to have their tap water analyzed free of charge?

e.g. on material chemistry; components, proportion of metals; heavy metals, radionuclide contents,

Can one also request/view an analysis report from the drinking/tap water supplier?

You already have helpful answers. I just want to add that the water provider is naturally investigating the drinking water in the laboratory. ABER…

  1. The water is investigated in the supply tank. Until you get out of the tap, it flows through plastic pipes, possibly old lead pipes, possibly copper pipes.
  2. There are limit values for all pollutants. The question is whether this is enough for you.
  3. If necessary, various chemicals are mixed to comply with the limit values. Such chemicals (chlorine for disinfection and several others) are not subject to declaration.
  4. Of course, it is only possible to measure what is being sought.

According to my knowledge, this is now the legal duty of the water provider. At least with the annual invoice, we always get the last analysis report.

So there’s a lab that can check your water for free I can’t imagine and where it’s going to have another reason. They’re gonna sell you a cleaning plant.

It doesn’t make any sense because the waterwork already does.

If there’s dirt, he’ll come out of the pipes at your house.

With my city you can see the values online.

If you don’t, you can ask.

Hello,

the question in the search engine on the Internet (without AI!) gives several results:

Water test, free

Sure, that’s what makes the waterwork regular for you.
