Become a legal guardian?

Is anyone a legal guardian or knows more about the numbers?
Legal guardians are often appointed by the court. My question is, how exactly does the court choose which client? Do you quickly build up a client base of 40-50 people?
Since you are then self-employed, is it worth it in terms of income?
I know that you get different flat-rate contributions every month.

My mom is doing this. As a hobby, because money she earns with that joke amount… She deserves more in her 500 Euro job as a daily care.
