Geschichte?

Yes, I know the book “When I was a little boy” by Erich Kästnerin which he reports about his experiences as a child. Chapter 12 is about Uncle Franz, who first owned a butcher shop like his brother Paul in Hechtstraße, but sold it and then became a horse dealer. The story in the book has the title “Onkel Franz becomes a millionaire”.

I don’t know if the Easy Reader “My uncle Franz” contains this story in a shortened and simplified version, but guess it. As an Easy Reader, history certainly also has word statements so that students with basic knowledge of the German can be slowly brought to authentic literature.

By the way, the book “When I was a little boy” from Atrium Verlag Zürich really contains beautiful illustrations by Peter Knorr. I ordered it at medimops some time ago. Reading is a lot more fun. I just saw that medimops also has the Easy Reader “My Uncle Franz” (from the school book publisher Klett). Used state “good” you can accept, I’ve never got a dirty or broken book of medimops. All of the books described as very good and well were in impeccable condition. Unfortunately, this book is only brooched and also costs 4.99.
