I really liked it. Of course, there are always subareas that you like less well – and through which you have to “tolerate”. They’re gonna be harder. But overall, it’s an interesting study if you don’t go into the wrong ideas: it’s not just “find books well and like to talk about it”!

If you are interested, you can read about how a Germanistic study is structured in a rough way:

It really deals most with grammar, and it is very detailed. Literature doesn’t matter. I find that very good in person, I like to study it.

Negative:
The bad career prospects, because for Germanists there is not much need for the labour market.

No, of course not!
Studying a subject with such bad career prospects, I think that is useless!

I studied a subject for which there is a high demand for the labour market and now have a safe and very well paid job.

I know enough Germanists, anglists, and other psychologists who are constantly looking for jobs and who only keep up with fixed-term jobs and specialist jobs.

No, that’s nonsense. After all, Germanists have studied and are smart enough to know how to look for other jobs to pay his rent. For example, taxi driver, waiter, call center,…

So you think you can only know the subjects you have studied yourself?
That’s ridiculous.

In view of your inconspicuousness and stubbornness, I recommend that you study Germanistics and make your own experience. Maybe you’ll remember that you were warned before.
