Gel nails at a job interview?
Heyy 🙂
I got pink gel nails done today, and two of my fingers have glitter stones. They're not extremely long, but a bit longer.
A vocational college just contacted me and said they'd like to invite me for an interview. (I'm looking for a nursing apprenticeship.) The interview is on Tuesday. I got my nails done because I applied at the end of May and didn't expect to hear back yet. Of course, gel nails aren't allowed in this profession, and they probably wouldn't be appreciated in the interview either, but I still don't know what to do.
After all, I paid €45, and I don't earn my own money yet. If I have them removed again, it'll cost more.
What would you do in my place?
of course… if you want and get the training, then the nails of all have to soften at the beginning of training as soon as you have to work practically.
If I let her go, Gel can’t be done. Gel enters a firm binding to the natural nail and every attempt to remove it ends with (massive) damaged natural nails. If no gel is to be worn, then the modelling is shortened and thinned out at the top – but only so that there is still a complete gel layer on the nail and it then slowly grows out while the nails are shortened again and again.
Look. https://www.dm.de/neonail-nagelfeile-trapez-100-180-p5903274005533.html – get 2 of this (one is not far enough), so you can shorten and thin the gel yourself… but IMPORTANT and only after you have deburred the wedges with each other on ALL edges around… Feile slowly and without DRUCK and always control that you do not meet the natural nail…
thank you 🙂
Hi,
Congratulations on the interview! <3 I totally understand you, nails are not cheap. But if you're insecure, maybe it could be better to take them off. Finally, it's about your first impression in conversation. You could see it as an investment in your future. And who knows, maybe you'll get the training and then you can get some if you want. : But I'm honest, it's your decision! If they don't take you because you have gels, good night. It's like wearing belly-free. It's all about other things. Make yourself comfortable. Good luck with the conversation! 🍀

When I was at the interview for training as a nurse, there were some very long gels. They were all taken anyway.
A good impression
Absolutely.
to remove
I’m sorry.
I would also like to, but the nails are the first impression. I’m afraid that the nails are a little too “obtrusive”. :
I don’t think you can leave. But you need to know.
