Geburtstag nach Weihnachten?
Hallo,
Mein Kind wird dieses Jahr 2Jahre alt. Sie hat am 25.12 Geburtstag. Ich bin mir unschlüssig ob ich Ihren Geburtstag an Weihnachten feiern soll, weil die Weihnachtsfeier findet bei meinen Eltern statt. Sie wohnen nicht weit von mir entfernt. Omas und Tanten wohnen auch bei mir in der Nähe. Ich habe auch schon angedeutet, das ich gerne Ihren Geburtstag ganz normal feiern will aber da kamen nur die Aussagen: warum ich Ihren Geburtstag nicht an Weihnachten feiern kann/will, weil sie noch klein ist oder wieso dieses hin und her etc.
Habt ihr jemanden aus der Familie der auch so ein “Problem” hat? Wenn ja, wie wurde es geregelt?

We have a similar situation. I would celebrate my child’s birthday on 25.12., decorate with us and then for the birthday. With the family I would either come together on the 24th or then on the 26.12. celebrate Christmas with the family.
I would also try to find a regulation for the future, this year it is quite small with two, but next year it should be her day.
Right, she’s still small and won’t make any difference. in the ageing it is simply beautiful when the parents are there and there are gifts. You think you’re (what is understandable) emotionally more in it.
But the little one gets older, the birthday is more and more important.
Luckily, Christmas is made of two holidays. And for the future, I would celebrate the 25th anniversary and then last Christmas on the 26th with the family.
we don’t have a birthday child, but we have been doing this for years, we find more relaxed to spend the 25th only with the core family.
With a friend of mine, that was so regulated.
The actual birthday was celebrated only with the family (24.12.).
In summer it was celebrated with party and friends of the half birthday. So for example the 2.5th birthday, then the 3.5th etc.
The friend therefore always had a birthday party in the summer and at the actual birth stage there was only one birthday cake and a small gift.
The bad luck of course has many children. Later, for example, children’s birthdays always fall into the holidays. It’s not that easy to get a group together.
