Rather not answer the package, as it comes to your feelings, the concrete panel and the applications you want.
IPS, for many, the better compromise. But very low contrast, which leads in games to the fact that very fast dark areas are no longer differentiated and also bright areas become very fast monochrome. Even in image and video processing, the small contrast range is negative.
VA, significantly better contrast, some feel the image rather “match” here it comes to the panel, but I did not get it clear.
OLED, currently the best and my recommendation, prefer to take a little more money in hand than a compromise that could be regretted.
Form factor 21:9, consider whether you really need it. Even though many just use it, the form factor also has effects in everyday life. Especially in office applications, 16:9 is often even better, for example in video processing in the division of the processing windows or in image processing in the representation of the image in the visible area. I am back from 21:10 to 16:9, because with the “pixel number in height” was very often too small and I had too little benefit from the breadth, since there are always games that simply distorte the width from 16:9 contents.
Curved, also such a theme, high curveradiene can create a “I am in” effect, but rather with very large monitors. Otherwise, they tend to cause distortions.
Monitor purchase is not a simple thing and everyone has his wishes.
I ended up landing with OLED technology and at the beginning, flat with coating and 16:9 and find it optimal for me and my use.
Thanks, well, I use Blender, programming in general, active in game development. From the point of view in the processing of the place is so many important in the width. However, in comparison to a WQHD 16:9 27 inch screen, in view of the pixel density at a 21:9 UWQHD 34 inch, the pixels in height would have to be almost identical, at least if you calculate it. So you’d rather advise me to VA instead of IPS. OLED is already quite expensive with from 650 euros at 34 inches, 21:9. Even if the black values look beautiful.
I don’t mean pixel density. Really the pure number of pixels. I have tested monitors with 1440 height pixels, gruselg, then 1600 height pixels, already better, that of the 21:10 monitor and am now again classic at 16:9 4k with the 2160 height pixels, but yes, if the monitor is quite small, then you can also get this with less resolution. I’m sorry for the size growth, but I also have the place. My 21:10 was this 38 inch LG, who was, except for the bad contrast values, a proper compromise, now stands the optimal monitor 42” Oled 16:9 at the table. So as an orientation where the journey goes when monitors are relevant for play and work 🙂
