Gaming notebook comparison?

Hello Community,

I'm about to buy a used gaming laptop and have to decide between two different setups.

An MSI 15dc1305g and a ROG Strix G713RM KH161W

I'm impressed by the graphics card on the MSI, but I'm wondering how you can install DDR4 RAM.

What impressed me about the ROG Strix is the processor and the clock speed of the RAM.

However, the 3060 with its 6GB is a bit worse than the MSI with the 2070 8GB.

Since I'm unsure, the question is which notebook is better and more future-proof for gaming.

The MSI or the ROG Strix?

MSI data:

Processor:

Intel® Core™ i7-8750H (2.2 GHz base frequency, up to 4.1

Graphics card:

NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2070 (8GB GDDR6

RAM:

32GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (2x16GB)

ROG Strix:

Processor:

AMD Ryzen 7 6800H up to 4.7 GHz

Graphics card:

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 6GB

RAM:

16 GB DDR5 2×8 GB 4800 SO-DIMM

Thank you in advance 🙂

I would opt for second because of the ram and the CPU.

The 6g vram of the graphics card are not ideal but pure from the computing power should be the 3060 approx equal to the 2070 and also keep a little more efficient.

What is important is that the GPU does not have too strong power limit otherwise says the GPU model just nix out

The 6gb are really not ideal but 8gb are already scarce today – on high settings will play in running anyway nix so that shouldn’t be so bad – should you have constant microrucklers in a game you can try to put the texture quality down that reduces the vram usage and improves the problem if this should be full.

In addition, ddr4 is not bad but the 2666mhz are really little
