Question about the 2005 series Dr. Who with David Tennant?

Does anyone know anything about Doctor Who? Or has watched the series often? My question concerns the special with "David Tennant" as the 9th Doctor from 2005 "The Christmas Invasion". I just saw this episode and on the alien spaceship "the Sycorax" there is a scene where an alien kills a man with a whip….
Most of them would probably say: tear off the last season, plan on it and move far away.
If the last season wasn’t, the series would be a 10/10 for me. That’s 7.5/10.
Until season 4.
In Staffel 5, few scenes should be changed so that it remains more coherent. At Staffel 6 it would be a bit more effort, here a few scenes would have to be rewritten, but there are also many good moments .
Staffel 7 and 8,… Here you would have to rewrite everything, take more time for the character developments (i.e. also 10 episodes per season) and write some characters quite differently so that it still fits the previous seasons.
Last season, I don’t remember anything.
