“Module” is a general term for exchangeable units.

I don’t know your provider, neither your pay TV, nor the device.

Maybe you need an adapter.

More for ID cards where then certificates for registration on Windows or various web applications are stored on the chip.

Only if an NFC chip is installed but not on PKI cards.

Where did you get that tablet? Normally, they are used in a commercial environment and users know what the slot is for.

According to the format, it’s a slot for a smart card. e.g. from HD+ Sky or Vodafone
